Client Testimonials
I was referred to Kimberly Peticolas by Angela Bole, the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Book Publishers Association, to which I’m a member. I’m a first time author that needed technical help with entering the Advanced Reader Copy of my book on IngramSpark. Kimberly was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and someone I will work with again. There was a problem with the resolution on many of the photos in my book. Kimberly was able to troubleshoot and solve those issues and save the day. She’s multi-talented, goes above and beyond what is expected and is someone I now trust. I highly recommend her.

I hired Kimberly to assist me in creating a book proposal for my first book. While I have often heard it can take many attempts and many months to hear back from a publisher, my proposal garnered two offers from publishers within a month of initially sending it out. In the end, I published with Wiley and I have been thrilled with how everything turned out. The book is titled Cyber Smart and you can check it out on Amazon—sorry shameless plug! Kimberly was a pleasure to work with and I was very impressed with her effective communication skills and ability to explain the publishing industry to a rookie author. I also greatly valued her ability to quickly and efficiently meet my deadlines and accommodate my schedule. Outside of her work, I really appreciated her sense of humor while we were navigating the sometimes stressful book publishing process.

I was referred to Kim Peticolas by a publisher friend to assist me in the publicity and marketing of my latest book. After conferring with my publisher, Kim developed a local and regional marketing plan which included book signings, blogger outreach, and publicity events. She took control of the scheduling and always asked my permission before obligating me to attend an event. I was impressed with her professionalism and organizational skills and would not hesitate to recommend her services as a publicist to anyone seeking more exposure for a project.

Kim is an incredible story ally, editor, and author coach. I have worked with her on everything from brainstorming and plot development, to copyediting, formatting, cover design, and more. If it relates to the publishing process, she's done it, and done it well. I highly recommend her work to all of my author friends. For example, I recently spent weeks turning circles over a plot hole that wouldn't go away. One thirty minute call with Kim, and I was back on track. I won't wait so long to call next time!

As a published author of more than twenty books, half of which went on to become an Amazon #1 best seller, I have worked with many editors and publishing consultants over the years. Kimberly's expertise coupled with her professionalism and knowledge of the publishing industry have been an asset to me as I work on my current book. She helped me to formulate better plot structure and provided characters with far more depth and complexity. I appreciated her willingness to role up her sleeves and dig into a project—look for new/better ways to make necessary improvements. After working with Kimberly on my latest book, Boy Gone, I am confident in recommending her.

I worked with Kim on a non-fiction project, Aspiring to Author: A guide for your publishing career. She was fabulous. She did everything from edit, to cover design, to the creation of marketing materials. When my publisher asked if I had any recommendations for a new marketing manager, I gave her Kim's name. The happy end to that story is, Kim is now the marketing manager for my fiction novels. She's creative, on top of things, and professional. If you're looking for publishing or marketing help, I heartily recommend working with Kim.

My publisher strongly recommended that I engage Kim Peticolas’ services as the copy and developmental editor for my latest novel. Since this is the fourth book in my Tom McGuire mystery-thriller series, I’m not a novice to the editing process. Kim was better than I could have ever imagined. She’s knowledgeable, patient, easy to work with, and collaborative, in other words, a professional’s professional. Whatever you write, she will make it better.

Kimberly has been my editor for the past six months. During this time she has demonstrated a strong work ethic as well as highly developed skills in copy editing, establishing tone, grammar, as well as page layout and design. Kimberly also has knowledge in marketing and SEO for Amazon and I will be hiring her to help me in this department as well. All in all, what really sets her apart from the rest is the fact that she has such a deep knowledge of the industry and holds so many diverse skillsets. As an author and someone who has also worked in publishing for many years, I’d highly recommend Kimberly Peticolas for any kind of publishing needs.
